Does FastPOS 2002 require a dedicated server to operate?
  • No. The volume of transactions that a particular installation produces should dictate the configuration of your LAN. For example, a high transaction environment such as a night-club or bar environment should be configured with a dedicated server. However we always suggest a server even when there are very low transactions.

What are the minimum recommended system requirements to run FastPOS 2002?
  • Server: Pentium IV with 512Mb with a 60 GB hard disk drive
  • Client: Pentium 600 MHz with 256Mb with a 20 GB hard disk drive
  • Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME, Windows NT/2002  Windows Server 2003, 2008, POS ready 2009, Vista, Windows 7
  • Any pointing device such as windows compatible touch screen technology
