Does FastPOS 2002 require a dedicated server to operate?
  • No. The volume of transactions that a particular installation produces should dictate the configuration of your LAN. For example, a high transaction environment such as a night-club or bar environment should be configured with a dedicated server. Conversely, a low transaction environment such as a fine dining environment would allow one of the POS workstations to be configured as a workstation & server.

What are the recommended system requirements to run FastPOS 2002?
  • Server: Pentium IV with 512Mb with a 60 GB hard disk drive
  • Client: Pentium 600 MHz with 256Mb with a 20 GB hard disk drive
